Aurora Explained

Marcelo is the Lead of the Protocol Team at Aurora Labs. Previously he was building the Rainbow Bridge that connects Ethereum with NEAR and Aurora, which currently holds more than 800M dollar in TVL. Before that he was a Core Engineer at NEAR Protocol where he was in charge of building the networking layer of NEAR. He is pretty excited about all the possibilities that blockchain enables to developers and users universally. Currently he is focused on scaling Aurora EVM, and thinking about making bridges more accessible to a wider audience. He enjoys doing competitive programming and solving puzzles, most recently he was solving EVM Bytecode golf challenges on Twitter. Marcelo is originally from Cuba, so he can speak both Spanish and English.
