Tana Zimmermann – E-commerce evolution in Croatia: Shifting consumer’s mindset

CEO and Co-founder of Bazzar.hr, the fastest growing online marketplace in Croatia soon to expand its business outside the national boundaries. Tana started her professional career in the hospitality industry, working for Tarrytown House Estate, a historical mansion on Hudson, New York, as Front Office intern and worked her way up to the leadership positions of Front Office Supervisor and, finally, Guest Services Manager responsible for the entire hotel operation. After officially graduating from RIT Croatia, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Service Management, in 2009. Tana joined the sales team of globally recognized corporation Philip Morris International where she stayed almost for four years working at three different managerial positions. Even though her experience with Philip Morris was really a valuable one, in 2013. she decided to make a career twist and launch her own business in the e-commerce field. Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit, solid market knowledge and her brother’s expertise in IT and programming, Bazzar.hr is now a renowned tech company with a lucrative business model recognized by more than 250.000 satisfied customers. Except for her principal task of running the company, she is also involved in the e-commerce community and often takes part in numerous professional events as either speaker, panelist or supporter.
